I'm Kate! I come from a huge family of poets, writers, painters, photographers, and other artists. My seven siblings and I enjoy the hilarious -- if tumultuous -- relationship that only a tight-knit family of passionately opinionated people can truly appreciate.
I started writing poetry at age 7 and made a splash with the audience (comprised of both my parents) with a Lewis Carroll-inspired piece called Rosea and the Lion. Unfortunately I am a terrible poet, so I moved on to other endeavors. I'm delighted to introduce the most recent of them, my debut novel, Finding Fairy Tales.
When I'm not writing and photographing, I'm obsessing over baby nephews and nieces, drinking tea, discussing theology with the lovely ladies of The Monstrous Regiment, and trying desperately and unsuccessfully to make a dent in my own reading list.
